With our premier baccalaureate College for Women, St. Kate's is one of the largest private women’s universities in the nation and has educated women to lead and influence since our founding. The mission of our faculty and staff is to enable, equip, and empower our students to become successful and transformative leaders in today’s challenging world.
We value inclusivity and connection. St. Catherine University goes beyond a liberal arts education to instill the wisdom, social justice, and women’s empowerment teachings of our founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. It’s shaped tens of thousands of diverse students’ lives since 1905.

“My transition into the university was great. I had this energy and drive to get super involved in clubs and organizations and had such a fun time. Eventually, I even became the transfer student coordinator! We have designated people who help transfer students have a seamless experience. Just because you transfer in doesn't mean you're getting any less opportunities, it's just whether or not you take them.”
“I fell in love with the fact that St. Kate's is about women's empowerment. I'm very passionate about women's rights, and I also wanted to be on a campus where my education is very, very focused.”
“I felt the sense of support from this community...Not only did they help me figure out if I could afford to go to St. Kate's, they made it easy to transfer my credits.”
"I picked St. Kate’s because of its strong liberal arts foundation and vision to teach students about being ethical leaders in their community."
"I have never felt so challenged, powerful, and purposeful. I have learned so much about who I am and who I want to be in the future."
