Undergrad Health & Medicine Education

Everything begins with a great teacher.

The Pacific University College of Education offers dynamic, hands-on undergraduate and graduate programs. We are a community of scholars and practitioners dedicated to learning experiences that are real-world focused, rigorous, practice-based, and personally meaningful.

Our School of Learning & Teaching provides programs for future and current teachers to earn licensure, endorsements, advanced degrees, as well as to expand their expertise and become experts in education.

The School of Communication Sciences & Disorders prepares and supports speech-language pathologists who work in schools, healthcare, and numerous other community settings.

Our graduates are profoundly skilled at what they do and are prepared to work in education and health settings to positively contribute to the lives of their students, colleagues and clients.

Undergraduate students can major in Education and Learning at our residential campus in Forest Grove, or they can choose from more than 65 undergraduate fields of study before pursuing a one-year or part-time Master of Arts in Teaching on their way to a teaching license. We also offer undergraduate programs in Elementary Education and English Language Learning in collaboration with community colleges in Eugene and Woodburn, and we offer additional MAT programs with endorsements in Special Education, STEM, and ESOL. In all our programs, students learn from faculty members who are dedicated teachers and mentors, and they gain real-world experience with diverse placements in public, private, and international schools.

Find your future
The Pacific University experience is grounded in a rich liberal arts and sciences foundation that prepares future teachers to bring the world to life for their students. Our Education students are well prepared to be classroom leaders because they begin their hands-on experiences early in our on-campus Early Learning Community and in local and international student teaching placements. With undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs in Education, Pacific University offers our students and alumni pathways to become great teachers.
