Our University

At ACU, you 'll be challenged intellectually while developing spiritually—all in preparation for successful Christian service and leadership.

Degrees and programs
ACU offers a BS in Engineering with five concentrations:
• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• General Engineering
• Industrial Engineering 

We also offer a BS in Physics with four concentrations:
• Computational Physics
• Physics
• Medical Physics
• Teaching Physics 

Our majors pursue a deeper understanding of the physical world through theory, application, analysis, and practical design. Their education comes under the mentorship of dedicated Christian faculty who are active researchers in their fields. They are respected internationally for their work, and with an average class size of 10 students, you’ll get to know your professors well. We admire God’s handiwork in the laws of the universe and seek to understand and apply those principles to solve big problems while improving the lives of people around the world.

Student success
Engineering and Physics students often receive paid opportunities to work, study, and intern at premier national laboratories such as Los Alamos, Fermi, and Brookhaven. With an average starting salary of $64,800, our graduates continue to receive competitive salaries in the market, and 100% of 2019 graduates were employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation.

The Nuclear Energy eXperimental Testing (NEXT) Lab 

ACU students and faculty are advancing the technology of molten salt reactors to provide energy that's less expensive and safer, water that's pure and abundant, and medical isotopes used to diagnose and treat cancer on the ACU campus. The Nuclear Energy eXperimental Testing (NEXT) Lab has received private and US Department of Energy funding to conduct cutting-edge research.
