Science & Engineering Profile

Create a future of your own

The recently opened Murchie Science Building Expansion at the University of Michigan–Flint offers 61,000 square feet of opportunities, housing collaborative laboratories, and makerspaces that empower students to build new possibilities using the latest equipment. The Expansion is also home to the College of Innovation & Technology, which takes a 21st-century approach to STEM education. Courses are taught by teams of professors, the curriculum is designed with input from industry experts, and hands-on, project-based learning is emphasized from the start.

Preparation for the rapidly changing job market is found throughout the university. Programs in Digital Manufacturing Technology, Data Analytics, Green Chemistry, and more do away with convention and offer students the skills to thrive in their careers. The impact of these programs and resources is made even greater thanks to UM-Flint's expert faculty, who work directly with students and often offer undergraduate research experiences in their labs. These faculty connections help students succeed in the classroom and long after graduation.

Don't let anything stand in the way of owning your ambition.
