Murray State University, founded in 1922, is a public, comprehensive university. Programs are offered through the Arthur J. Bauernfeind Colleges of Business, College of Education and Human Services, College of Humanities and Fine Arts, Jesse D. Jones College of Science, Engineering, and Technology, Hutson School of Agriculture, School of Nursing and Health Professions, and Center for Adult and Regional Education. Its 261-acre campus is located in southwestern Kentucky in the Jackson Purchase Region.
