You’ll go beyond at Pitt-Bradford

Academically driven
At the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, you’ll be able to choose from more than 40 majors, including Biology, Broadcast Communications, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Education, Hospitality Management, Nursing, and Psychology. We also offer more than 50 minors, concentrations, and pre-professional programs along with two master’s programs.

But that doesn’t mean you’ll only be sitting in a classroom—y
ou’ll have many other opportunities to learn by doing. You can help solve mock crimes in our CSI House. You can create radio or television broadcasts in our all-digital TV and radio studios. In our psychology lab suite, you’ll participate in counseling sessions or observe others as they conduct interviews. You can create a video game or app with your classmates in our computer information systems and technology lab. In our nursing suite, your “patients” will be computerized manikins that are able to react to whatever medicine or medical technique you apply. You will have the chance to evaluate athletic injuries or measure someone’s heart rate in our human performance lab. And because our campus is located in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, you’ll have the chance to gather lab samples outside, whether you’re wading in the creek that runs along the south end of campus or walking in the nearby woods.

Warmly accessible
Our campus in Bradford is a close-knit and caring community. And just like Bradford, the people on our 319-acre campus know and care about each other. That doesn’t mean we just say “hi” when we see each other on campus. It means so much more. It means that students will pick up a quick game of football, toss around a baseball, or just sit together on the lawn after class. Staff members, professors, and students will stop and talk in the quad or in the dining hall. When our President sees you on campus, he’ll ask how you’re doing because he really wants to know. And our professors will get to know you and give you personalized attention. They’ll stay after class if you have a question or need help with an assignment. They’ll help you get an internship or give you a lead on a job after graduation. They may even work alongside you on a research project.

The power of Pitt
Since we’re a regional campus of the University of Pittsburgh, our students can take advantage of the vast resources offered by the University while studying here. You’ll have access to more than four million volumes and 35,000 periodicals through the University’s library system. You’ll be able to explore internship and career opportunities among all the campuses in the Pitt system. You’ll be able to take advantage of countless study abroad opportunities, whether you spend a summer or a semester in such faraway places as Ireland, Thailand, or Germany. And when you’re close to graduating, you’ll be able to tap into the networking opportunities through the Pitt Career Network, which has more than 200,000 alumni.
