You can choose from 200 academic programs and 100 minors. At Syracuse, you can expect a student experience that is constantly being enhanced. To support your academic, social, and emotional well-being is the Barnes Center at The Arch, a state-of-the-art wellness and recreation complex in the heart of campus. 

With over 300 student clubs and organizations, you’ll get the chance to build leadership skills, make new friends, and discover new passions. You can join Enactus and work with Guatemalan weavers to market eco-friendly products in the University bookstore; cheer on the Orange as part of Syracuse’s pep club, Otto’s Army; and hike in the nearby Adirondack Mountains with the Outing Club. 

Syracuse’s Learning Communities give you the opportunity to live with a group of students in a residence hall around a common major, theme, or interest. There are more than 25 communities to choose from, including the Multicultural Living-Learning Community; the Science, Technology, and Math Learning Community; and the International Relations Learning Community. 

Global opportunities
We have one of the longest-running—and most highly ranked—study abroad programs in the nation, so it’s no wonder that almost half of Syracuse students study abroad at least once during their time as undergraduate students. You can choose from 100 different programs in 60 countries and engage in internships, Signature Seminars, language study, homestay, and community engagement projects. 

In addition to World Partner programs, Syracuse offers programs in its six centers abroad, including Florence, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Santiago, and Strasbourg. 

We offer accomplished first-year students the exciting opportunity to spend their first semester abroad in Florence, Italy; Madrid, Spain; or Strasbourg, France. The Discovery Program will help set the tone for your college career and is designed for those interested in the arts, humanities, languages, international studies, social sciences, mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, computer science, or a pre-health track.

You’ll be part of a tight-knit community and support system from the time you arrive through your years as a seasoned alumnus. It’s this combination of rigor and support that propels Syracuse grads to excellent post-graduate outcomes and long-term successes.

During your time as an undergraduate, you’ll have many opportunities for local, national, and international internships and hands-on experiences. Recent internship placements include Spotify, NBC, Golisano Children’s Hospital, EY, RODE Architects, Pew Research Center, Disney, and The Ellen Show, just to name a few.

According to the Class of 2018 placement survey, graduates reported an average starting salary of $53,772, and nearly half obtained their position before graduation.
