Our Graduate Programs
Texas A&M University's exceptional graduate programs provide cutting-edge research education and training through various degrees related to improving the quality of health care. Whether your interests are bench to bedside with expanded collaborative research and entrepreneurial approaches or health care academia with the training necessary to produce effective leaders in health professions, we have the program for you! The Office of Graduate Studies supports the faculty, staff, and students of these programs with a variety of resources all geared toward improving each student's individual experience.

PhD in Medical Sciences
The PhD in Medical Sciences equips each new generation of aspiring scientists with the skills to identify and solve important health problems. Under faculty guidance, our trainees will engage in rigorous and original scholarship supplemented by coursework tailored to fit individual needs. Utilizing the dual-campus feature (Houston or Bryan/College Station, Texas) allows students to identify the faculty and areas of research to personalize their education.

MD/PhD Program
Our MD/PhD Program offers a combined training program leading to both an MD and PhD degree. We provide excellent training for students who desire to pursue careers as physician scientists and make contributions to the advancement of science and medicine. Multiple approved tracks are offered through the PhD portion to allow students to create an individualized educational experience.

MD Plus Program
The MD Plus Program is a five-year, dual-degree program for students interested in enhancing their medical career options and gaining the skills necessary to become leaders in their fields. Our students earn a Texas A&M master's degree in an area of their interest along with their medical degree. This opportunity allows students to create an unparalleled educational experience that offers a personalized future as a physician in health care.

Online Master of Science and Certificate in Education for Healthcare Professionals
This program is ideal for for busy professionals who want to teach and lead in health care. The online delivery approach for the MS degree and certificate will enable you to become a leader among your peers. This program prepares you to teach and/or do scholarly research with other health care professionals. The program prepares health professionals in educational leadership positions, or who are seeking these positions, and provides the background and skills necessary to be excellent teachers in their areas of the field of health care.

Master of Science in Medical Sciences
The MS in Medical Science degree prepares future researchers to bridge the interface between patient care and bench research; interact effectively with the spectrum of health care providers and community members; and function efficiently within large research teams. The curriculum is flexible and designed to provide a strong foundation in biological sciences along with scholarly activities that will encourage team-oriented projects, enhance interdisciplinary communication, develop leadership skills, and provide the foundation for a broad understanding of scientific, medical, and regulatory issues.
