The Honors College at Rutgers University–New Brunswick is a place where uncommon things happen—where students from such areas of study as Engineering, Dance, Biology, Business, and English live and work together to tackle global issues. Where live-in faculty and students gather in the fireside lounge to share ideas, play music, and get a cup of coffee. And where the highest achievers from across the country and around the world explore their intellectual curiosity, gain hands-on knowledge, collaborate, and do service locally and abroad.

Redefining honors education
Today’s challenges are complex and require an integrated approach to learning, one that will teach you how to be flexible enough to adapt to what’s next, to ask the questions that will help solve tomorrow’s problems, and to use your imagination and knowledge to make the world a better place. By bringing together students and faculty from Rutgers–New Brunswick’s liberal arts and professional schools, we’re making interdisciplinary learning central to our mission. We’re also making opportunities often reserved for juniors and seniors available from the very beginning of your college experience—exposure to research, internships, mentors, global experiences, entrepreneurship, and more.
