Rhode Island College is a regional comprehensive public college that serves more than 7,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students through five schools: the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the Zvart Onanian School of Nursing, and the School of Social Work. Established in 1854, we're Rhode Island’s first public institution of higher education.
The College is located on a beautiful 180-acre suburban campus in the vibrant city of Providence, with satellite locations at the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center in Providence’s Innovation District and the Rhode Island College Workforce Development Hub in Central Falls. Rhode Island College is located in Providence, Rhode Island, known as the "Creative Capital" of New England and one of the great college towns in the Northeast. There are five colleges located the city: RIC, Providence College, Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Johnson & Wales University, as well as satellite campuses for the University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, and the Community College of Rhode Island.
