Now fewer expenses stand between you and your college degree with EKU BookSmart Program, and it is as easy as 1-2-3! For Fall 2022, textbooks are free for all undergraduate students with EKU BookSmart!
It’s easy to take advantage of this new program:
1. Register for classes.
2. Your Big E Box filled with the required books and course materials will arrive from the EKU Bookstore at no cost to you.
3. Study hard, then return your books at the end of the semester using the provided pre-paid return label.

Scholarships
• Merit-based scholarship awards range from $3,000 to full tuition for Kentucky residents based on GPA and test scores; scholarships are available for test-optional admission.
• Our Colonel Commitment Scholarship for Pell Grant–eligible Kentucky residents with a minimum 3.0 GPA covers the full cost of tuition and fees.
• Out-of-state students can expect an affordable, competitive tuition rate in addition to merit scholarship options.
