Determination starts here

Southwestern Assemblies of God University seeks creators and changemakers—students who long to be uncommon. SAGU Lions are pioneers who find opportunities to live their Christian faith in diverse careers. Our students are involved in ministry worldwide. They’re producers at Warner Bros. and ABC Entertainment, cabin service coordinators for Southwest Airlines, promotional developers at IPHC Ministries, teachers at all levels worldwide, and more. In fact, there are over 70 degrees to choose from at SAGU.

An education at SAGU is based around seven core values: Bible-based education, Pentecostal distinction, spiritual formation, academic excellence, mission mindedness, servant leadership, and community and personal wellness.

SAGU academics will challenge you and shape you intellectually and spiritually as you learn how your field relates to your Christian purpose. As our professors’ utmost priority, you’ll receive personalized instruction in a small-class environment. Hands-on training in the classroom instills students with the confidence to be effective in the workplace after graduation.

The University offers a number of fast-track programs for those who want to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years. Programs range from Accounting, Business, and Marketing to Child & Family Studies and Church Leadership with specialization options in Pastoral Leadership, Youth & Student Ministry, and more.

Want to see the world? SAGU students have served in more than 170 countries in the last 10 years. It’s not just Intercultural Studies students who travel abroad. Ancient Studies majors excavate in Israel; Business students start small businesses in India; and Education majors travel the world to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in context.

SAGU offers 13 athletic programs, including football and men’s and women’s basketball teams. There are also nine intramural sports for students looking to stay active and have fun!
