Businesses require individuals who can lead with integrity, character, and purpose.

At Miami University, we focus on developing leaders who are prepared to do just that. Miami’s Farmer School of Business (FSB) is nationally recognized for its commitment to undergraduate education, which is why Poets&Quants lists FSB among the country’s top 20 public business schools. FSB students work on real-world problems with real-world clients, and more than 90% of students complete an internship. FSB’s Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship—ranked in the top 10 on Money magazine’s list of schools producing Fortune 500 CEOs—engages with students in areas such as start-up and venture capital, social entrepreneurship, corporate venturing and technology commercialization, and creativity and innovation. Miami also offers business-related majors across the University, from Sport Leadership and Management to Data Analytics to Organizational Leadership. Students who aren’t pursuing a major within FSB still have access to 14 minors, four certificates, and eight thematic sequences (such as Business Legal Studies, Information Systems and Analytics, and more) within the Business School.

About Miami University
Miami is a medium-sized public university where faculty are hired for their subject matter expertise as well as their enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate students. With its focus on a liberal arts education, Miami is committed to providing a broad-based education through the Global Miami Plan, which allows students to become experts within their field(s) of study while also acquiring skills and competencies such as critical and creative thinking, ethical reasoning, global learning, intercultural knowledge, information literacy, inquiry and analysis, problem-solving, teamwork, and oral and written communication. Our University ensures students have the program choices and resources of a large research university but the personal attention other institutions reserve for their graduate students. We offer flexible plans of study and encourage students to combine multiple majors and minors with cocurricular and extracurricular activities so they can explore new interests and acquire the breadth and depth of experience employers seek. By doing so, we foster a culture that nurtures creativity, embraces change, and is invigorated by new ideas and challenges.

Students thrive at Miami University because the path to success looks different for everyone, and students are encouraged to define and pursue their own distinctive paths.
