Creativity Works: Create What’s Next

At UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), it isn’t about “what do you want to do after graduation?” because you won’t have to wait. Bearcats roll up our sleeves, get to work, and create what’s Next.  For over 100+ years, Bearcats have been jumpstarting their careers through our innovative co-op and internship program that lets students combine their rigorous academics with real-world learning.

DAAP’s approach to education cements its reputation as one of the best art and design schools in the world. Students explore their passions and create artifacts, environments and graphics that impact and improve the world.

Home to nearly 48,000 students across three unique campuses, Cincinnati is a national leader in career-ready education. Today, UC ranks the #1 public university for co-op and internships by U.S. News & World Report.

DAAP students alternate time spent in the classroom with time spent in the real world, working around the globe while building their resume and professional network. That means Cincinnati’s classroom extends to nearly every corner of the globe, from Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups to trailblazing experiences in places like China, Tanzania, and South America.

Today, more than 315,000 living alumni count themselves as Bearcats—united not just by their loyalty to UC’s nationally known sports teams but by their common love of the place, the people, and the ideas that make up the University of Cincinnati.

Co-op Works: Build your career while in school

Career preparation is at the center of a UC education. Through our Bearcat Promise Career Studio, we prepare students for the world of work with professional development, coaching, and career services. Our students can gain up to 1.5 years of full-time, paid work experience, before they even graduate. No more worrying about needing the experience to get the job, or the job to get the experience. For you, this means graduating with a degree, a full résumé, and a plan for your future.
