The University of Cincinnati has a large and dynamic international community, with more than 3,000 international students from 121 different countries boasting a 96.4% international student retention rate. Students benefit from our large support network of academic and career advisors, peer mentors, and social and cultural programming throughout the year—all with the aim of supporting the student journey, wherever it may lead you. Signing up for student clubs and organizations is a great way to make friends who share similar interests as you. It’s also the best source to discover things like the places to eat around campus and where the best study spots are on campus.

An international application to the University of Cincinnati requires the following items:

1. Online application and $100 application fee

2. Official high school transcripts and at least one letter of recommendation in English from all the high schools you have attended (most recent three to four years of coursework)

3. Proof of English ability. This year we are ACT/SAT optional. If you choose not to submit an ACT or SAT score, we will need a Duolingo, TOEFL, IELTS. or Pearson English test.

4. Proof of Math Ability is required for the UC Global Scholarship and some selective programs. This can be completed through the ACT or SAT or through the UC Math Placement Test.
