Collaboration Works: Discover What’s Next

Home to nearly 48,000 students across three distinct campuses, the University of Cincinnati is a national leader and ranks among the best universities for experience-based learning. UC’s four health colleges—Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Medicine, and the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy—are dynamic centers of discovery that provide valuable opportunities to collaborate with healthcare leaders across the region.

As the first College of Medicine in the state of Ohio and the second-oldest public medical school in the country, the University of Cincinnati’s beginnings are rooted in the desire to “push for a cure.” Using the latest methods available and steeped in a rich history of innovation and experience-based learning, students at UC become healers, caregivers, researchers, and inventors.

The UC College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) unleashes education through rigorous academic curricula, community service, and real-world experience. The unique collection of professional programs provides a wealth of opportunity to pursue a passion for healing.

Every program within CAHS embeds clinical practicum components at 300 affiliates, including UC Health, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and TriHealth. Students are also grounded in community impact, through international service experiences in Cancun, Nicaragua, London, Denmark, and more. From the very first year, our students are immersed in real world and interdisciplinary experiences, providing an unparalleled advantage in the marketplace. CAHS boasts a 100% job placement rate.

Today, more than 315,000 living alumni count themselves as Bearcats—united not just by their loyalty to UC’s nationally known sports teams but by their common love of the place, the people and the ideas that make up the University of Cincinnati.
